Shoreline’s church at McGuire’s is a great way to check out church, without having to wake up early on a Sunday morning, get dressed up, or ever walk in to a church building. If you’ve never been to church, gotten bored with church, gotten burned by church, or are just curious about God, church at McGuire’s is perfect for you. It’s a great, no-pressure environment, where you won’t feel judged, and you can be yourself.

Tuesdays night at 7 PM, all first timers get a free coozie, and gift card to help offset your tab.

Great food. Friendly atmosphere. Spectacular sunset. Live music. A talk about God. All in under an hour and fifteen minutes.

Common excuses for not going to Church:

1) They’re all a bunch of hypocrites

2) They’ll judge me

3) I can’t get a beer

4) They just want my money

5) They must have an “agenda”

Shoreline’s probably not what you expect. Whatever your experience has been with church in the past, church at McGuire’s will probably surprise you. Whenever you show up at Shoreline Church you’ll find normal people who will take you at face value. Who We Are

Shoreline church is a non-denominational church that started in 2005 in Destin, Florida. Shoreline meets at the Rave Movie Theater in the Destin commons every Sunday at 9 and 10:30 AM, with childcare provided for both services.

Eric Partin is the lead pastor, and is a born-and-bred Destin local. With 17 years of ministry in central Florida under his belt, he and his wife, Darlene, moved back home to Destin to start Shoreline church for people like him: People who didn’t grow up in church.

Shoreline exists to connect you with God, and provide an environment for you to check out church without feeling pressured or judged.

Why are you doing church in a bar?

We figure that’s where Jesus would hang out. We also find it’s a lot more comfortable to invite someone to McGuire’s than to church. Plus, McGuire’s is a great pub!

Why on a Tuesday?

We do church on Sunday, too, but we found that a lot of people work in the service industry locally, and getting to church on a Sunday morning just isn’t an option. Tuesday night makes it a lot easier for anyone who has to work late on Saturday night, or who have to work Sundays through the tourist season. If you’re more of a “church on Sunday” kind of person, join us at the Rave movie theater.

Can I order a drink?

If you’re 21, and can prove it, sure. At Shoreline we don’t like to be “preachy”, but if you’re drinking, make sure you have a designated driver, or allow us to call you a cab. DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE. But as far as church is concerned, feel free to enjoy the service from the bar, or have a beer with your meal. McGuire’s are famous for their micro-brewery. We do ask, however, that if you’re just looking to get hammered, to do so elsewhere, so that other people can enjoy the church service.

What’s in it for me?

You get to go to church… in a bar! And if it’s your first time visiting with us, we have a gift for you – a Shoreline original coozie, and a giftcard to help offset your tab.

How long will it take?

We start right around 7 PM, and we’re usually done by 8:15 PM. The band normally jams for a while afterward, and people often hang out for a while.
